Salad Issues

From a young age my father made it a point to make his hatred of salad clear. He always said, "The only reason I can eat salad at restaurants is because I know a steak is coming right after." Growing up in such an anti-salad environment you can imagine the salad baggage I carry. This, however, is not the real problem; instead my real problem is that I have recently started trying to eat somewhat healthier or lighter foods. Salads not only fit this bill nicely, but are also quick, easy, and with a little creativity delicious. So for now I am of two minds regarding the leafy green food I have for so long avoided. Does anyone else, besides Clint's gyro issues, have a like experience?

  1. I have a simliar issue. I cannot eat anything messy in public. If I got to Buffalo Wild Wings or Wings Etc I have to get boneless wings so I can cut them with a knife and use a fork. I just get so paranoid to have a face full of barbecue in a restaurant. Part of it is that I was always told girls should not get dirty or messy, so I avoid messy foods in public.

  2. I don't have a particular food that I dont eat but I have this horrible problem of not eating food depending on its appearance and texture. Due to living on a small farm, where we have cows, horses, and yes rabbits, I found that rabbits where the cause to the appearance part of my pickyness. There are just visual experiences that I came across in raising them that I just can't seem to over come. I can eat rabbit meat without a doubt but if I eat something that looks similar to something i saw on the farm, I won't eat it.
